Holy Carp!

Wow, it has been a while since I have posted anything.
Not really much new to post.
Work is good, busy.
Girlfriend is fantastic.
The holidays are almost here and gone, shopping has not been too bad this year; it definitely seems impacted by the state of the economy or lack there of.

I am working on an add-on project to a few OSS titles I use on a daily basis. There isn’t much more I can say about it than that.

Strange days

Looks like the market is taking a crap. Interstingly enough; I saw a man on crutches at night trying to make shadow puppets with little to no light.

I wonder how he felt about the state of the economy.

The weekend was good, having an infant that is so well behaved 85% of the time must be a blessing. Enjoyed the pseudo photo shoot on saturday, it humbled me in the skill it actually does require when doing portriature photography.

Had a little blow up with the lady, nothing too major. It did however open my eyes a bit, and showed me how good she is for/to/with me.

Work is good, on call for the first time for an early shift. It is extremely interesting how diverse large IT departments can be when it comes to on call rotations or just plain ‘ol on-call duties.

On a tech note, automated server
Scaling and deployment has quite a bit of overhead.

Semi-Classic

I decided to dig this guy out of “storage”:

New Projects!!

I have finally decided to dedicate the much needed time to some of my “geek” projects I have been pondering about.

Coming soon,

  • EC2 based infrastructure services.
  • Possible fork of ebb.
  • mDNS examples and ideas.

Stay tuned….

Updates!

Here we go:

  1. Started new job.
  2. Need more beer.
  3. Updated blog and blog theme.

As you can see I have been fairly productive. Work (even though it is day #2) has been great so far. Good people, a lot of work to do, and all that fun stuff. More to come..

Jersey!

After a crazy plane flight, we sat on the runway for an hour, waited for our luggage another hour, and finally got in a cab and headed to Penn Station. After running through the station with Nicole to catch our 7:30 train, we were able to sit on the train talking with no AC all the way to New Brunswick. Ate at a place that had great food and great beer.

After everyone met up, we came to Caritsa’s house and now we are enjoying the humidity int he 85 degree weather.

Off I we go!

Leaving for the east cost in a few hours.

This will be fun!!

Anywho, have a picture:

On the hunt…

Yes, I am on the job hunt again.
Few good leads already, maybe I should make a resume..

As for the job world. The tech industry in LA is frightening, it’s either work for a giant, or work for someone who can’t pay you.
